Winner of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year's regional award in the Scale-Up category

The Southern Danish ingredient company Ferm Food is honored for innovation and growth with an award in the Scale-Up category – has been nominated for the national final in the growth competition.

The Danish ingredient manufacturer FERM FOOD ApS from Bække in Vejen has just won EY Entrepreneur Of The Year's regional award in the Scale-Up category. The company, of which Emmelev A/S is a co-owner, was awarded the award at EY's award in South and SouthJutland, and it marks an important milestone for the company, which supplies fermented ingredients to the food industry.

 

FERM FOOD's fermented ingredients are used by food manufacturers to extend shelf life, replace additives and preservatives – and thus develop healthier and more natural foods. The company has experienced significant growth and is now among the nominees for the national finals of EY's prestigious growth competition.

It's a recognition of our mission to help food manufacturers develop products that are healthier and free from unnecessary additives. DanePork and entrepreneur Leo Grønvall were also named the region's best for growth after the regional finals of EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2025. In short, the company supplies Danish pork to retail, foodservice and export.

 

In addition to strong growth and the ability to gain market share in a competitive market, the jury emphasizes massive automation and a goal of taking even more of the value chain home. This is according to Michael Anker, partner at EY and regional manager for South Jutland in EY Entrepreneur Of The Year.

The national finals of EY Entrepreneur Of The Year will take place on 27 November 2025 at Bella Center.
